Open House

Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to Open House on Thursday evening. It was great meeting all of you and I look forward to working closely with you and your child to make it a fun and successful school year.

3 days done

WOW! What an exhausting first week of school! The first graders worked extremely hard these last 3 days learning new rules, routines, and schedules. It's a long morning to get through due to our scheduling changes but I think once we all get used to it, the day will begin to fly by.
So far, we've read a couple of Froggy books, started our color words (red), and explored some of our math and Fundations materials. The children seem enthusiastic about starting to get to work-I'll work very hard to help them keep that enthusiasm far into the year :)
Overall it's been a great week.
